Brimscombe

6th April 2019

The weather was very favourable, and we went to this very attractive area in the Cotswolds.

We were fortunate to see an old GWR steam train pass us on the adjoining railway line, just after we arrived.

The walk was a mixture of old canals, attractive villages, industrial architecture, lovely countryside,

and a very good choice of paths.

It is a great pity that the Old Post Office on the High Street, Chalford, has closed

as it used to be one of the features of the area, with its traditional shop and shop front.

It is a great loss to the area.
