We parked in the car park on Rhigos Rd, at the top of the hill overlooking Craig-y-llyn,

and then walked through the forestry, avoiding the new wind turbines,

and taking a very attractive small path along a stream,

which led to the Lluest Wen reservoir.

We crossed the moorland towards the Dare Valley Country Park,

and then took a route along the northern edge of Hirwaun Common
