This walk was interesting because of the past industry in the area
and the amazing aquaducts and viaducts associated with this history.
Apart from the large-scale mining and ironworks,
there is evidence of a large number of small mining enterprises
on the slopes of Foel Fynyddau.
It was also the birthplace of Richard Burton.
Unfortunately Himalayan Balsam and Japanese Knotweed have established themselves
as you can see from some of the following photographs
There were good views towards Port Talbot and Baglan Bay on the coast.
