A brilliant day in a very special area.
Apart from a few fishermen and one kite flyer, we saw no-one all day.
The scenery was stunning from the moment we started,
with a lone heron fishing the stream, and a lovely valley with heather and rocks.
The pools are a collection of 6 reservoirs and ponds,
with rough undulating and sometimes boggy areas between.
The final section was also stunning,
and the whole area had a feeling of extreme quiet and remoteness.
