The first sign of snow this year, and a surprise that it was so deep.

It really added to the walk, even though it was a lot more tiring,

having drifted in places over uneven ground.

We kept to the high ground over-looking Cwm Clydach, had to take a short-cut to save time,

and returned over Mynydd James from Blaenavon.
