Bica da Cana
We planned a mountain walk on this day and were heading for the Encumeada Pass,
only to find that the mountain road was in very bad state and covered with boulders.
The first few pictures were taken on our abortive journey.

We had to turn around and make up our own walk. It would have been a lovely walk if we had arrived earlier and knew a little more about it. The mist soon blew in, obscuring the views, and making navigation more difficult. Mainly it was an outstanding ridge which would have been magnificent in better weather. |
