Pontrhydyfen

14th March 2015

Most of this day was spent finding paths through some really interesting oak woods,

on the Southern slopes of Foel Fynydd.

Some of the paths we used to walk were difficult because of felling or fallen trees,

but there were many more to choose from.

Other interesting features were the sea views over Swansea Bay from the summit,

the number of old drift mines on the side of the hill,

the wonderfully constructed bridges,

particularly at the junction of the Pelenna and the Afan rivers,

and the final river walk along the Afan.
