This was the first really warm spring-like day this year,

and we wanted to follow the Ebbw Valley Walk.

We first re-visited Cox's Quarry, and were pleased to find the steep ascent

was being used and not overgrown.

However after that the Ebbw Valley route was completely impassable

mainly due to bracken and possibly bramble, so we enjoyed Mynydd y Lan,

and then crossed the Sirhowy Valley to return along the ridge route and over Mynydd Machen.
