A really beautiful walk passing the oldest house in Wales –

a fascinating, 1402 cruck-framed hall house, built for Henry IV as a hunting lodge,

and then going down to a delightful stream just right for otters,

followed by a landscape of small farms with lambs in the fields, wild flowers in the banks,

and trees just coming into leaf, and then large areas of common land with spectacular views

towards the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains, and North over the hills of Mid Wales.
