Llynfi Valley

9th March 2013

A grey day, and there must have rain recently, as the ground was wet in places.

It was e few years since walking in this area, and it was a bit upsetting as the area had been devastated

by felling all the larch to prevent the spread of the disease affecting larch.

This also meant access by large vehicles, and quite a few paths had been made into vehicular tracks,

and my favourite narrow woodland path had been upgraded - and destroyed in the making.

However it is a good walking area, and I enjoyed the day, and we discovered an excellent descent at the end,

and the woodland on Garth Hill was just as attractive.

One must remember that nothing stays the same, and there are still attractive, un-spoilt places to discover.
