Clearwell

Forest of Dean

12th Feb 2013

A dull day and not many pictures because navigation was very complex,

and people were restless while I was trying to work it out!

These few show some of the really interesting features, such as the old iron works,

and some of the quarry workings, and also some very fresh signs of the wild boar that are in the area.

We went past the entrance to Clearwell Caves, stopped for a break by Cannock Ponds,

and had a mixture of fine deciduous woodland, villages and commonland.
