Wye Valley

 2nd Aug 2012

After one week of hot sun, back to the unsettled trend.

We were lucky to avoid showers in the Wye Valley, doing the Chepstow to Tintern circuit, anti-cliockwise.

This time we used the Lancaut Nature Reserve, which is a lovely area beneath the cliffs,

but the paths are narrow and can be treacherous, especially after rain.

It was particularly pleasing to see the new work that had been done along the Wye Valley Walk,

on some of the view points and features, to replicate what was constructed originally in the 18th century,

and the illustrations and information on the new plaques.
