Cwmaman

 13th March 2012

A generally foggy day, we chose a relatively high level start, and as we arrived the fog miraculously cleared,

and we were above it in bright sunshine.

We started at a car park on the A4233 between Aberdare and Maerdy, and made our way down into Cwmaman.

We then went over the mountain into Ferndale, crossed the valley and up onto Tarren Maerdy, before dropping into the Rhondda Fach Valley.

This we followed up past the first reservoir until we reached Pont Luest Wen, then followed Coed Morgannwg Way towards Aberdare,

before returning through the forest to the car.
