Myntdd Dimlaith and then North East across to the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway Footpath overlooking the Sirhowy Valley.
We didn't quite make it to the top of Mynydd Machen, because the rain set in.
We returned via Mynydd-y-Grug and the tips at Bedwas followed by the old Railway line.
