Parking at Abercarn, the route follows Nant Gwyddon, and then the side valley,

Nant Gwyddon Fach, before emerging onto Mynydd Maen Common. It then follows the

right of way past Blaengwrney Farm, and then follows forest tracks

above Cwm y Glyn followed by a very attractive footpath through the woods,

emerging at Upper Race. Next Cwm Lickey, Mynydd Twyn-glas to the trig point,

and returning overlooking Cwm Gwyddon
