Starting from Tintern, up the Angidy Valley,.to Devauden & Llanishen.

through the Woolpitch Wood to Trellech,

back past Cleddon, Bargain Wood, Ninewells & Botany Bay.

 

Angidy Valley

 

 

 

 

 

Between Cobblers Plain & Llanishen,

there is a network of attractive footpaths, pretty cottages and good views

 

 

 

 

Prysg Wood

 

 

 

Trellech Ironworks

It is there under all the ash trees

 

 

The following are all in Trellech:

The Harold Stones  - date unknown, possibly neolithic

The Tump  -  Norman motte - once had a castle on top

The preaching cross  - 6th or 7th century - outside St Nicholas church

The Virtuous Well  -  Said to have curative properties
