Talybont

11th May 2004

a

Still lovely spring colours.

Starting along the canal,

then through fields to Llanfeugan Church

The church dates from 1272

A 22ft diameter ancient yew to the east of the church

which is obviously of great age

climbing up Gist Wen to the top of Bryn & lunch on the top

and along Graig Fan Las

Descending to the Blaen-y-glyn car park,

before going up again past the Blaen y glyn waterfalls

up the valley

a very steep climb to Allt Forgan, with a sudden storm brewing

On the top just before the lightning struck

and back along the Allt Lwyd ridge to Talybont reservoir

Hurrying down after the storm

An attractive Waterboard landscape

and crossing the dam to finish along the Taff trail.
