Glascwm

26th August 2004

A  walk in Powys. These pictures are typical, showing the heather and wimberry, or bracken-covered hills,

with attractive valleys and lovely views of hills, from the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons in the south

to the Shropshire Hills and Plunlymmon in the north.

The route started near Bryngwyn Hill, crossed Newchurch Hill and Yr Allt, before reaching Colva Church.

The circuit continued along Colva Hill, Llanfihangel Hill, Gwaunceste Hill, and Little Hill

before descending to Glascwm. Then a final ascent to Glascwm Hill, Cefn Wylfre, and Red Hill, and a delightful valley where there were more Rowans in berry than I have ever seen before.
