Our third walk, still avoiding the national park, because the weather looked so threatening.

We started through Les Granges, a long trudge up the Vallon des Granges,

almost turning back when it started to rain.

Eventually we reached the GR5 on a magnificent ridge,

passing Mt Tournouret, Mt Chelanche, and Pic de Colmiane

before returning to Venanson.

The flowers were outstanding, and it was our first distant views of mountains.
